Mumo's Inn is located in Landstuhl, at Beethovenstraße 37A — the geographic midpoint of the KMC. From here, you're 8 km from Ramstein Air Base (about a 10-minute drive), 850 m from Landstuhl Regional Medical Center on foot, and well-positioned for Kaiserslautern, Vogelweh, and other KMC installations.
Most families new to the KMC default to Kaiserslautern because it's the largest city. But Kaiserslautern puts you in urban traffic every morning on the B40 or A6. Landstuhl is quieter, more residential, and faster to base — without sacrificing access to anything you need in the KMC.
For dual-military or dual-base families, Landstuhl is uniquely positioned. If one spouse works at Ramstein and the other at LRMC — or if you have regular medical appointments at the hospital — there's no better TLA location in the entire KMC. You're within 10 minutes of both installations.

Statement of Non-Availability
Active Duty PCS guests need an LNA from the Ramstein Lodging Office confirming government quarters are unavailable. We'll guide you through the request process — it's simpler than it sounds.
Reimbursement-Ready Invoices
Our nightly rates align with DoD lodging allowance ceilings for the KMC area. We provide itemized invoices in the format finance offices expect — most guests are reimbursed in full.
VAT Exemption Assistance
Members of U.S. forces in Germany under NATO SOFA are eligible for 19% VAT exemption. Bring your VAT form (Abwicklungsschein) and we'll fill it in for your stay so you pay the correct rate from the start.

Can I use TLA at Mumo's Inn for a KMC PCS move?
Yes, for a PCS to any KMC installation — Ramstein, LRMC or the smaller sites nearby. Nothing about the reservation depends on your paperwork being finished: hold the dates now and sort the rest as it comes. For the claim you will usually need a Statement of Non-Availability, which the on-base lodging office issues once government quarters genuinely cannot accommodate you.

Do I need a car to get around the KMC from Mumo's Inn?
A car is helpful in Germany, but we've got you covered. A complimentary loaner car — a fuel-efficient Toyota Yaris Hybrid, insurance included — comes with every stay, always. You can drive to Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, the commissary, or any other KMC installation without waiting for a rental car to arrive. LRMC is an easy walk.
What TLA documentation does Mumo's Inn provide?
We provide itemized invoices formatted for military finance offices and confirmation of nightly rates that align with DoD lodging allowance ceilings. If you're eligible for VAT exemption under NATO SOFA, bring your VAT form and we'll fill it in for your stay. Is TQSA also available at Mumo's Inn for civilian KMC employees?
Yes. GS civilians and other DoD civilian employees eligible for TQSA (Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance) are welcome. Our apartment meets the requirements, and we provide the documentation your HR or finance office needs.
