- What it is
- The entire two-bedroom apartment in a residential building in Landstuhl — not a room, not a hotel suite. The hosts live upstairs; there is no front desk and no fixed checkout time.
- Sleeps
- Up to six: one large double bed in the master bedroom, a bunk bed in the second bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room.
- Bathroom and laundry
- A bathroom with both a bathtub and a shower — a tub is far from standard in German rentals — and a washer and dryer inside the apartment.
- Kitchen
- A full open-plan kitchen, equipped for cooking real meals rather than a hotel kitchenette.
- Climate
- Air conditioning, which most German rentals do not have, and floor heating through the winter.
- Distance to LRMC
- About 850 m to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center Gate 5 — roughly a 5-minute walk, not a drive.
- Distance to Ramstein Air Base
- About 8 km, roughly a 10-minute drive.
- Car
- A Toyota Yaris Hybrid with insurance and no deposit comes with every stay, parked and ready on arrival day.
- Parking
- Free parking on site, at no extra charge.
- Pets
- Welcome at no charge — no deposit, no breed restriction, no per-night surcharge.
- Work and connectivity
- High-speed WiFi, a Smart TV in every room, and a desk with a printer in the master bedroom — TLA and TQSA claims still run on paper.
- Hosts and languages
- Cris and Irina, who live directly upstairs and speak English, Spanish and German.
- Rating
- 5.0 out of 5 across 23 verified Google reviews.

Room by Room
Photos flatten a place. Here is the written version, so you can work out whether it fits your family before you commit to weeks in it.
Master bedroom
The master bedroom has an ultra comfy big bed, a Smart TV, and a work desk with a printer. That printer is not decoration: TLA and TQSA claims run on paper, and finding somewhere to print an invoice or a set of orders in a foreign country on a Sunday is its own small nightmare. Guests use it constantly.
Second bedroom
The second bedroom has a bunk bed and its own large Smart TV, and there are toys on request if you are travelling with little ones. If you are not, it is simply a second room — guests have used it as an office, a quiet room for someone on a different sleep schedule, or somewhere to put the suitcases you are not living out of.
Living room
The living room has the sofa bed, a Smart TV, and a PlayStation 5 on request. There are board games too. Neither is a luxury when you are three weeks into a move with kids, the weather has turned, and nobody has their own things yet. Between the two bedrooms and this sofa bed, the apartment sleeps up to six.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen and dining area are fully equipped: cookware, dishes, a Senseo coffee machine, and seating for four that expands to six. A real kitchen is the single biggest practical difference between an apartment and a hotel room on a long stay — you cook what your family actually eats, on your own schedule, instead of finding somewhere open at nine at night with tired kids.
Bathroom & laundry
The bathroom has both a bathtub and a shower — worth knowing, because a tub is far from standard in German rentals and it is the difference between bathing a toddler and wrestling one. Laundry is a washer and dryer in the apartment, so a month of clothes does not become a logistics problem.
The apartment was renovated in 2023 and has electric shutters, high-speed WiFi throughout, free private parking, and air conditioning — under 3% of German homes have it, which stops being trivia during the first July heatwave.
Who This Apartment Suits
It works well for a family of up to six on PCS orders waiting on permanent housing, a civilian on TQSA doing the same, someone on TDY who would rather cook than eat out for a month, and anyone here for LRMC who needs to be able to walk to the hospital. Pets are welcome without a deposit or a breed conversation.
It suits you less well if you need multiple units for a group, if you want hotel service like daily housekeeping and a front desk, or if step-free access is essential — ask us about the layout before booking in that case and we will give you a straight answer rather than a sales one.
And the constraint worth knowing up front: this is one apartment, so there is one booking at a time. If your dates are taken we will tell you immediately instead of keeping you on the hook.
A few things we want you to know
We're pretty laid-back. Your kids don't need to tiptoe around, your dog doesn't need a resume, and you don't need to stress about leaving everything exactly as you found it. We want you to actually enjoy your time here — not spend it worrying. That's what "feel at home" means to us. Learn more about your hosts.
